Depth Analysis

A Depth Analysis is required for equipment that is used in subsea or deepwater applications. The different ocean zones affect how temperature, pressure and light will change as depth increases.

Atmospheric pressure exerts a force on water, the pressure increases as you dive deeper in the ocean. Not only is the water overhead exerting intense pressure, but the temperature and light availability decreases to levels that humans cannot tolerate as the depth increases. Testing the equipment tolerance for depth, temperature and pressure assures the equipment will work as designed.
